The Paediatric Respiratory Clinic provides specialised care for patients with severe eosinophilic asthma receiving biologic treatments (Omalizumab, Mepolizumab, and Benralizumab).
A referral is required from either a GP or a specialist. This service is free of charge and patients are triaged based on priority.

Ngati Hine Health Trust
Ngāti Hine Health Trust provides comprehensive asthma management services, including diagnosis and treatment, education, self-management plans, continuity of care, health promotion, ongoing assessments, and referrals.
They also offer Rongoā Māori, with traditional Māori hauora clinics in Whangārei and Kawakawa. These clinics feature mirimiri (healing massage), karakia, and a space for whānau to whakawhitiwhiti kōrero (share stories).
Self-referrals and healthcare professional referrals are welcome. This service is free of charge.

Mana Kidz provides nurse-led school health services for primary and intermediate-aged children across 85 schools in South Auckland.
Services include the rheumatic fever prevention programme, asthma services, skin assessment and management, and care for other long-term conditions.

Asthma Waikato’s mission is to free people from asthma through expert education and advocacy, enabling a life full of possibilities.
They provide asthma education for children aged 0-15 years, including clinical assessments, home visits, and virtual appointments. Asthma Waikato also offers professional development courses for healthcare providers, including Spirometry training and recertification.

If you see a nurse employed by Te Whatu Ora MidCentral, THINK Hauora, or through a Māori or Iwi service, there will be no charge. Some fees may apply if the nurse is provided by a general practice.

Koira 4 Rukahukahu: Lungs 4 Life is a community-based, nurse-led programme aimed at reducing inequities in respiratory health outcomes for tamariki across the Northern region.
The programme focuses on early intervention for children at high risk of developing bronchiectasis or other preventable respiratory conditions.
Inclusion Criteria:

Tamariki under 2 years old who have had three or more hospital admissions due to lower respiratory tract infections (bronchiolitis, bronchopneumonia, pneumonia, or pertussis).
