Book a spirometry test
Spirometry is a gold standard diagnostic test for long-term respiratory conditions such as Asthma and COPD.
It measures lung function, specifically the amount and / or speed of air that can be inhaled and exhaled. It gives health professionals information to better determine a treatment plan.
Spirometry is mainly offered in hospitals and can have very long wait times. Thanks to our funders, donors and partners, our nurses are able to deliver subsidised tests at our Auckland offices within 2-3 weeks at the low cost of $70 + GST. To book a spirometry appointment, simply fill out the form below and one of our team will be in touch with you shortly. Health professionals, please use this referral form.
Special note: the Asthma New Zealand nurses have the equipment and are qualified to perform this test following the correct health guidelines, but are unable to interpret results for you. With your consent, a copy of your test report will be sent to your GP for interpretation and evaluation. Spirometry tests can be provided for both diagnostic and other purposes (insurance, medical, employer, surveillance, etc).
