“Make Inhaled Treatments Accessible for ALL.”

We joined the global call to action this World Asthma Day.

Over 615,000 Kiwis already take prescribed asthma medication – that’s 1 in 8 people!

But preventer use remains low – despite someone having an Asthma attack every 2.5 minutes.

If you only use a reliever, adding a preventer inhaler could help. *

This year, a diverse group of ambassadors have united to share this powerful message:

“With the right support, asthma doesn’t have to hold you back!”

Watch the video for insights on preventer use from rugby stars Julian and Ardie Savea, world champion boxer Mea Motu, cricketer Anika Todd and former All Black and firefighter, Steve Devine.

We think more needs to be done to increase the usage of preventer inhalers:

* Anti-inflammatory medication such as inhaled corticosteroids.
